All of the pieces and elements within are created by British artist [**Ed Merlin Murray**](https://satoshifaces.com/artist). ### Are SatoshiFaces pre-minted? No Faces were minted before the start of the sale. ### **Will there be any more SatoshiFaces?** No. This will be the only SatotshiFace iteration. No additional artworks will ever be created as a part of this collection. 4999 of them. ### Are they all really unique? All of the components, pieces, characters, backgrounds, and items in SatoshiFaces were drawn by hand by Ed, as shown [here](https://twitter.com/SatoshiFaces/status/1380463314900254721) and [here](https://twitter.com/SatoshiFaces/status/1382442152635072518). And also here shows how the character is [digitized](https://twitter.com/SatoshiFaces/status/1382029703264014338). The 4999 Faces themselves were created through proprietary software that randomized the placement of each together, guaranteeing that each is 100% unique, and the rarities of each piece are established based on the predetermined characteristics. Before the first segments were revealed to us *Face-heads*, all 4999 unique Faces were randomized and shuffled. ### Chances of getting a rare one? Every artwork, rare or common has been randomly distributed using an on-chain mechanism to assign them fairly and transparently to buyers. **The buyers will all have the same chance of getting a rare collectible no matter what bracket the artwork has been collected in.** It is also important to remember that the Faces collection has both explicit and implicit traits meaning rarity is, to some degree an interpretation rather than a calculation. ### **Will unsold SatoshiFaces get burnt?** No. To ensure pre-set rarity percentages are maintained and special pieces are not destroyed, no Faces will be burnt. # Buying / Selling How to become a proud owner. ### **How much does a SatoshiFace cost?** The current price for each SatoshiFace NFT can be seen at . ### How to buy a SatoshiFace? Check out our guide [here](https://satoshifaces.com/guide) for a full tutorial on how to buy your very own SatoshiFace NFT. ### **What are the fees associated with using the SatoshiFaces site?** The basic functionality of the site is free to use, however, there are compulsory “gas” fees when interacting with the blockchain. Gas fees are the costs associated with transmitting data on the Ethereum blockchain. They fluctuate depending on the congestion of the chain at any given time. There are several instances when interacting with our platform where these gas fees would need to be paid. At the time of launch these can include: purchasing Faces, changing Face names, transferring ownership of Faces, claiming SFT, selling and purchasing SFT on a DEX ([Uniswap](https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap?outputCurrency=0xF4Ea51408E7cEcE8eB9EBBaF3bFBCEc74aC574F4)). ### How many can I buy at once? The maximum quantity you can buy in a single transaction is 49 Faces. ### **What if I buy a SatoshiFace just before the current price tier ends?** If you purchase more than one Face near the end of a price bracket you will be charged the price of the previous bracket. For example**,** if 2499 Faces have been sold, leaving just one until the next price bracket, if you were to purchase 10 Faces you will be charged the lower price of 0.25 ETH for each Face. This has been designed to avoid rejected transactions near the end of price tiers. ### **How do I know which SatoshiFace I am buying?** You don't. The order of our NFTs has been completely randomized. The artwork, once purchased is gradually revealed until the final segment is unlocked, 16 days after purchase. ### Will the minting contract expire? There is no end date for the close of this minting contract. ### **Will I be able to trade my SatoshiFaces after the sale?** Yes. After purchase, you have complete ownership over the NFT and the associated Face artwork. You can wait for the artwork to be fully unlocked before you sell or you can take the chance if initial segments are rare and list a partially unlocked piece on secondary markets such as [OpenSea](https://opensea.io/assets/satoshifaces). ### **How can I sell my SatoshiFace?** There are several marketplaces that support the selling of NFT's. OpenSea marketplace will be integrated into our platform. To visit an artwork's associated OpenSea page, please click on the top left of each artwork, or click [here](https://opensea.io/assets/satoshifaces) to access the whole SatoshiFaces collection on OpenSea. ### **Can I send a SatoshiFace to my friend?** Yes. As with any ERC-20 token ERC-721 NFTs can be sent between addresses or to others using the send function on your wallet provider. # Ownership OK, so you bought them, now what? ### When do I get to see my art? We have developed our own unique unlocking mechanism. When you initially purchase the artwork you will see one of 9 tiles revealed. **Every two days an additional tile will unlock revealing more of your finished piece. There are 8 tiles to unlock so the process will take 16 days in total.** Once 5 tiles are unlocked you will be able to choose a name fitting for your new masterpiece. Note, there will be a countdown associated with each artwork letting you know when the next unlock will take place. ### **How do I unlock** tiles **in my SatoshiFace?** The tiles which cover up your artwork are automatically removed at a rate of one tile every two days. You don't have to do anything, the Ethereum blockchain does all the work. The first tile will be unlocked immediately after your purchase, so you'll have a glimpse of what is hidden within. ### **Will others see my SatoshiFace on the website?** Yes. The gallery page will include every Face artwork. Once the artworks become fully revealed, the filtering functions can be used to sort by explicit traits. ### **How can I see how rare my SatoshiFace is?** Rarity stats for your individual piece will be available after your artwork is fully revealed. It is accessible by clicking the icon on the top right of your artwork. This function will allow users to assess how rare each explicit element of their piece is before the sale is complete. Moreover, once artwork is fully unlocked it will populate the categories section of the gallery. ### How many can I own? There is no limit. “One is only limited by their imagination and ETH balance.” \ \- Craig Buterin. ### **Can I print a SatoshiFace and hang it on my wall?** Absolutely. After purchase, you have complete ownership over the NFT and the associated artwork. ### Can I see my Faces without connecting my wallet or on my phone? Definitely! Copy your wallet address (the one that is holding your Faces) and add it at the end of \ \*\* Now the link should look something like this:\ \*\* Bookmark it and that custom link will always take you to the Faces owned by that wallet/address. ### What are those roles on Discord that some members have? The roles on our Discord server are assigned to users who use the `!join` command to register with the Colab.Land bot in our server. Based on the number of SatoshiFaces held in a wallet, these are the available roles:\ \ 1-4 = Pioneer \ 5-9 = Innovator \ 10-17 = Feline \ 18-24 = Idol\ 25-49 = Ape\ 50+ = Architect # Naming ### **When can I name my SatoshiFace?** A Face can be named after 5 tiles have been unlocked, providing you own 250 or more SFT (initial purchasers are able to claim 500 SFT after purchase). If you are purchasing a Face from OpenSea or a similar marketplace, you can change the name as soon as you own 250 SFT (and the Face has at least 5 unlocked segments). Note however that Faces purchased from OpenSea or similar marketplaces may not come with the previously minted tokens. ### How to rename a face? :one: Go to [satoshifaces.com/wallet](https://satoshifaces.com/wallet) and log in with your MetaMask.\ :two:Ensure that you have accumulated enough SFT to change the name of a FACE (250 SFT minimum) and that a FACE has at least 5 segments showing.\ :three:Click "Claim SFT". You can either claim all SFT from all FACES at once at the top, or individually for each FACE below that artwork.\ :four:Return to your wallet and click "name face". ### **How much for a name change?** The cost of a name change is 250 SFT. All Faces purchased during the initial sale will receive a 500 SFT bonus, giving you enough for a name change and some leftover! ### **Can I name my SatoshiFace 'John', if another Face already owns the name?** No. Names must be unique. Once a name has been given to a Face, it is stored in the blockchain until the owner decides to change it. Once a name is changed, the previous name becomes immediately available for use. ### What are the rules for changing names? • Names must be unique \ • Maximum of 20 characters (including spaces)\ • Uniqueness is case insensitive ('John' and 'john' are considered the same)\ • No leading or trailing spaces\ • Only alphanumeric characters # About SFT coin ### What is this SFT token? The **Satoshi Finance Token** or "SFT" is the native token of the SatoshiFaces ecosystem. This utility token will be used to complete functions and access features on the Faces platform such as naming artworks, with more to come soon! Beyond that, SFTs will be used as the core utility token when interacting with Satoshi.Finance’s upcoming NFT x DeFi solution. To read more about it please go to . ### Are SFTs pre-mined/pre-minted? NO! These SFT’s will only be generated by holding artworks. There are no pre-minted team or advisor allocations. Embodying Satoshi’s ideals of decentralization.\ **The only way tokens will ever enter the circulating supply is through the 4999 Faces.** ### **What can my SFT be used for?** Initially**,** SFT will only be required to complete name changes of SatoshiFace artworks. The further utility will be introduced with the release of our NFT x DeFi platform. ### What is the total supply of SFT? The maximum total supply is **36,912,116.1 SFT after 10 years**. After the first year, the max supply is 11,622,675 SFT. ### Is SFT deflationary or inflationary? We do not at this moment burn any tokens however, we have implemented a deflationary mechanism to the supply, by manually reducing the minting rate and **stopping the minting process entirely in 2031**. A burn function is integrated into the contract so this may change in the future. ### **How many SFT will my SatoshiFace generate per day?** The SFT minting rate is deflationary. Initially, each Face will generate 5 SFT per day reducing at a rate of 25% per year. Meaning they will mint 3.75 SFT per day in the 2nd year, 2.81 SFT per day in the 3rd year, and so on. Faces will stop minting SFT entirely after 10 years. ### **What happens to the tokens I use to pay for a name change?** The 250 SFT used to change the name are sent to the contract address. They will be used to fuel the SatoshiFaces ecosystem as we develop the platform further. # Buying / Selling ### **How can I get more SFT?** A user can get additional SFT in two ways; either by owning additional Face artworks that will mint tokens every day or by purchasing circulating tokens on third-party exchanges. # About About our DeFi platform ### **When will the Satoshi.Finance DeFi platform be released?** Development of our DeFi platform officially started on the 1st of April 2021.
